Sending love to another person is one of the most powerful practices I know. This is the best way to help anyone, even if it’s a closed off person who doesn’t want to talk to you, or someone who is located far away from you and doesn’t even know who you are. It’s hard to overestimate the significance of this practice, because its results have always amazed me and made me very happy; and not just me, but also everyone who tried it on my advice.
The concept of sending love is based on the fact that each one of us has access to an unlimited source of love and light, and we can open up to it more at any time, let more love inside us, and also channel it consciously. This love is the highest vibration, it’s the creative material of the Universe itself. By sending love to someone you help them in the best way possible, raising their vibration, giving them the strength they need, and filling in their lack of love. Basically, any negativity is the lack of love, and by channeling the light to another person, you help them enormously.
I used to have intuitive knowledge about this practice before, but I found detailed and structured instructions in Klaus Joehle’s “The Messenger: Living on Love”. You can read them here.
To help myself and others I’ve made a guided meditation: spoken guidance allows your mind to follow and not drift aimlessly as it often happens. Of course, you can send love without the audio meditation as well – but there are some things I want to clarify first.
Why relaxation is required? People often happen to be in a rush, and to them it might seem stupid to devote four or five whole minutes to relaxing and calming their body. But it’s a very important step. First, the relaxation itself, even in minimal amounts, brings benefits to your body and nervous system, so don’t miss on a chance to take care of yourself =) Second, when your body relaxes, your mind sets itself at ease and concentrates. Not only will it help you see and feel the necessary things much easier, but will also help you achieve the results much bigger than they could have been if you skipped the relaxation. Which means – just a few minutes of relaxation will help you in one attempt achieve the result that would be several times more powerful than what you would’ve achieved in ten attempts without it.
Why is it necessary to fill yourself with love first? This is one of the most important principles! If you don’t open up more and fill yourself with love beforehand, you’ll start giving out your own energy stream, and therefore depriving yourself of it. I often compare it to the air: you don’t have to sacrifice yourself by giving the air that you breathe to other person, you can just open the window wider and let more air inside, so there would be enough for both of you. There’s no love and no benefit in sacrificing yourself for others. And by both filling yourself and sending love to other people you’ll bring much more benefit to yourself and to the world. It’s important to imagine that the love that you’re channeling to another person comes straight out of the source that you’ve opened up to.
Why you shouldn’t cling to some certain desired result. Of course, you can send love with a certain intention: for example, into a particular body part or internal system, or to help clean out negative vibrations. But you have to always listen to your intuition while doing this. If a feeling that you’re doing something wrong or you should do it some other way pops up in the process, you should definitely trust it. It’s also very important to send love unconditionally, which means without demanding any certain result. And you should never do that from the perspective of “I’m sending love to a person to make them change” (wanting them to become convenient for you and fit your idea of what’s right). This violates another person’s world and forces your power on them, and this has nothing to do with love. When sending love, allow the subconscious mind of this person to decide by itself where to guide this energy to and where it’s needed the most. Your mind often cannot know what’s best for another, and you should trust the Universe on this. Send love only sincerely wishing them happiness, but the definition of happiness will be up to the person, not you. It’s also important to understand that you are sending the purest and most positive vibrations, and they’re unable to create anything negative in the person’s life. Which means you’re helping them in the best way possible anyway, even if it ends up looking not like what your mind wants it to be. Open your mind and accept others and their individuality the way they are. Don't we all want to be treated that way?
Trying to figure out certain formulas, like how many days and what exact amount of energy you’ll need to achieve a certain result, is useless as well. Each case is unique. Always follow your inner feelings and inner knowing in the process. Someone might show a visible result of your help almost immediately, others might require more time, but the result is always there. Don’t forget that your most important ally and counselor is your own heart. When you’re in the state of sending love, you can receive answers to your questions, including the ones regarding the best way to send love to that certain someone. Some people accept it very reluctantly at first, but with enough time, persistence and love, you’ll be able to clear out the negative vibrations which block them from receiving, and it will get better.
Why is there no danger of making another person dependent on you and letting them use you? This question was actually bothering me before: I was afraid that if I start sending a lot of love to a certain person, they’ll get used to it and start seeing me as their source instead of doing anything by themselves. But with practice I understood that this is not how it works at all. At first you might actually get the feeling that this is exactly what’s happening, but soon after that the person would become much more independent and get on a whole new level of energy, where the lack of love in certain spheres is already filled in. And that makes them do a lot by themselves, become more independent and strong, open in the areas where they have been closed off before, and understand certain things better. Besides, if you help the person open their heart while you send them love, they begin to fill themselves up from their own source. So not to worry!
Why “This person doesn’t need love!” and “They actually want to stay aggressive and unhappy” are very toxic and wrong thoughts. When people say that someone doesn’t need love but needs something else instead (the common answers I get after I ask what exactly these people need are: pity, attention or getting everything done for them by someone else), they misunderstand the very meaning of “sending love”. They most likely think that I mean just good thoughts or kind actions, which are really often rejected by unhappy people (and sometimes they really do want – or think they want – other things). But all of these examples are external actions. The love that I recommend to send is energy. It’s the highest vibration of a creative power. It’s what our mental state requires just like our physical body requires oxygen. And it’s the lack of it that makes people unhappy, and the worse the lack, the more negative feelings and actions there’ll be. That’s why saying that this person doesn’t need these high vibrations at all is, at the very least, odd.
The same works for being sure that some people don’t actually want to be happy but they want to be aggressive, violent and despicable, and there’s no point in trying to help them. It’s important to understand that love is in every single person’s nature. Happiness is the healthy state of being. The further the person strays from it, the worse they feel. The less they open up to the positive vibrations, the more they act up on what correlates with negativity and reflects their lack of love. Basically, every kind of negative action is a loud cry for help from someone who strayed far away from their true nature and got lost. As Klaus Joehle said in “The Messenger”: “A thousand variations. Even so it is said there are only two types of actions: an action of Love or a cry for more Love. But variations – there will be a thousand.” Please keep in mind that no one can sincerely want to be unhappy and violent. They can convince themselves that this is the right way and that’s how they like it, because it’s a survival strategy in the circumstances where they can’t even think of another way of living. But that is not the ultimate truth and not the way things work!
What happens when you open your heart, tune in to someone and send them love? You help them receive the resource that they lack so much. We all have access to the source of it, but when someone shuts down to it, we can help them – just like we can calm down the anxious person when we are calm. Their state of being and according thoughts and actions are on the low level of vibrations, and you help them open up to the healthy and positive ones again. So they feel better, start letting something good into their life, thinking in a more positive way, and figuring out what’s wrong. They come back to their true nature, and their state and actions begin reflecting it. Isn’t that the help that everyone would want to receive?
Of course, you are in your right not to do anything. You are free to choose not to help someone. But it's important to remember that is your choice. So it's “I don’t want to do it”, not “This person doesn’t need it anyway!” Be honest with yourself. And if you actually want to help and choose to do it, you already know what to do! =)
If you have any further questions – feel free to ask me, and I’ll do my best to help you =)
